ObjektCare is a New Zealand sculpture conservation practice — an Auckland-based, nationwide provider of sculpture cleaning, maintenance, repair, restoration and installation. We look after outdoor and public artworks with the same care their makers put into them.
We love sculpture as much as you do, and that shows in the detail of everything we take on — from a single treasured piece to an entire collection.
Nate has a long association with art, artists and artefacts, with extensive experience working directly with sculptors as well as the private and public collections that hold their work.
He brings broad experience in the care, handling and installation of a wide range of artworks and objects — metal sculpture, textiles, prints and paintings, as well as glass, ceramic and wooden objects and museum artefacts.
Nate currently provides ongoing technical support to eminent bronze sculptor Terry Stringer, and has previously worked with Andrew Drummond, Sriwhana Spong, Louise Purvis, Seung Yul Oh and Barry Brickell, among other New Zealand contemporary artists — consulting on, fabricating and installing major works in public and private contexts. He has also trained with U.S.-based master patineur Patrick Kipper.
His art handling, installation and production work includes projects for the Auckland War Memorial Museum, the NZ Maritime Museum, Te Uru Contemporary Gallery, the Pah Homestead / Wallace Arts Trust and Objectspace, as well as many of Auckland’s most prominent collectors. Nate is an Associate Member of the New Zealand Conservators of Cultural Materials.

We look after works by premier sculptors for some of the most important art collectors in New Zealand — maintaining, repairing, restoring and installing pieces by local and international artists including:
No material or scale is out of scope. Our expert care extends across many sculptural materials, each approached in the way it needs for the best result:
“They have cared for small and large sculptures, restored works in poor condition and built new bases. Their attention to detail is excellent, and our works have never looked better.”Greg & Shelley Horton
Whether it’s one sculpture or a whole collection, we’d be glad to help you care for it.
